Client: Telecom Finland Oy (today Sonera)
Place: Helsinki, Finland
Year: 1996
Highlights:
On the design of this submark I propose three abstract elements:
TELE as:
A communications mediator-channel between the external and internal audience.
TELE as:
A medium, a global connector.
Its slogan "People connector"
TELE as:
The audience (internal), represented by two elements ellipses and dots, like the rest of the IVI™ family *.
The parent mark appears at the centre depicting the company as a provider of service. On the top and bottom appear two dotted squares inclined with a 30 degrees angle to express dynamics.
The dots represent people having a dialogue. These resemble a digitised expression of communications in a global community of different groups connected
by TELE.
The colours for the submark on printed media are: purple, orange and magenta for the dots, light blue or orange for the central and outlined ellipses and blue for the logotype. On screen the CS submark appears on 3D mutating from the
parent mark.
Like the other submarks it contains sounds, of eclectic music or sounds representing a global community. It can also convey different messages through video, voice, sounds, text and so on.
